The Kinston 8000: 8th Annual Run for the River
March 23, 2013 Starting Point Neuseway Nature Center at Riverbank Road & Caswell Street Race day registration /packet can be picked up from 7:00am to 8:30am at the Neuseway Nature center.
Awards 8K: $500.00 each will go to fastest runners in the male and female divisions, plus an especially designed and produced commemorative bowl made by Lenox China, one of Kinston's best known manufacturers. Second place winners will carry home $300.00 in cash; and third place winners will take $150.00.
The Race Course The 8K course is a semi-loop, fast, smooth, mostly flast asphalt course through commerical and residential areas of Kinston. The course is USAT&F certified. 8K runners will take their places at 8:45am. Splits will be called at each mile interval. Refreshment centers will be located at strategic points along the route.
