Downtown Kinston Business Needs Survey

Through formal and informal surveys throughout any year, Pride of Kinston seeks to keep abreast of the needs of downtown businesses. Our findings instruct the staff and board of directors on ways and means to serve the downtown community.

We know that appearance of downtown remains a high priority. We know that the need for more investment continues high on the list of priorities. We also know that ultimately the desire for a growing customer base sits at the top of any goals’ list.

In consultation with the community, Pride adopted a vision in 2010 which guides our work.

“The vision of Pride of Kinston, Inc. is a downtown on the banks of the Neuse River that serves as the gateway to Eastern North Carolina. Our appreciation of history guides our future and promotes the magic to grow business, recreation and the arts.”
