City of Kinston

The City of Kinston is led by the Kinston City Council who meet the first Tuesday of each month at 530pm and the third Tuesday of each month at 7pm, and by a City Manager who leads 9 departments that provide important services to the citizens of Kinston from Police and Fire and Public Services to Planning and Parks and Recreation. The Executive Director of DK is a City employee, allowing for a strong partnership between the City and DK to further economic development downtown.

Lenoir COunty

The Lenoir County Government is led by a Board of Commissioners who meet the first Monday of each month at 9 a.m. and the third Monday of each month at 4 p.m., and by a County Manager who directs 19 county departments that provide important services to the citizens of Lenoir County – from law enforcement, health care and emergency response to waste disposal, transportation and record keeping.
